Peru – Children’s Library – Arrival

By February 18, 2019Humanitarian

Just like any other project we take on, the work starts well before the project does. The volunteers from Utah met, collaborated and developed a “game plan” for the construction of a children’s library. After spending month of preparation and time the group was ready to take on this project!

When we arrived into the small community of Santa Elena, Peru we received a very warm welcoming from the community members.

We also were very relieved to find that all of our pre-ordered material was waiting for us and that the foundation and concrete slab had been completed as planned.

We were ready to get to work.
